Kickboxing

Although some say kickboxing began in Asia some 2000 years ago, modern kickboxing is really a 20th century creation – a broad term referring to systems of sport and self defence which combine the techniques of boxing with kicking techniques. Various cultures have developed systems which are styles of kickboxing such as Indian Adithada, French Savate and Russian Draka

Modern Kickboxing has many different approaches to competitive rules depending on location, but all share a similar technical base of kicking and punching techniques.

It’s a high intensity, high impact form of exercise, so you’ll need a good general fitness level to get started. Kickboxing really is a great total body workout. In fact, some studies suggest that it burns around 350 - 450 calories an hour.
