Tae Kwon-Do

Roughly translated, Tae Kwon-Do means “the way of the foot and the fist.” In other words, this is an art which relies on both kicking and punching, although it is mostly recognised by its fast, dramatic high spinning kicks. As well as stretching and exercising just about every muscle group in your body, it will improve your concentration, stamina and self control. When you start your training you’ll learn the basics through choreographed sequences of combative moves, breaking boards and two-person sparring.

Tae Kwon-do has been an Olympic sport since 2000.
