Tai Chi
Sometimes described as “moving meditation”, Tai Chi is based on the Chinese principle of yin and yang, where opposing but complementary forces combine to create harmony in nature. The slow moving exercise of Tai Chi are recognised the world over, where many people practise this art to improve their health and general wellbeing. It is usually practiced as a series of movements, known as the form, where the body is moved slowly, gently and with awareness, while breathing deeply. It’s an art that you can train by yourself or in a group as long as you concentrate on casting distracting thoughts aside and staying focused.
